A Path Shaped by Poetry, People and Place.
In the beginning there was no grand plan. Only a community who valued creativity. And from this, the Corbenic Poetry Path began to evolve into being.
Where the land speaks
Corbenic Poetry Path is a meandering 3.5km path around the grounds of Corbenic Camphill Community. Some of Scotland’s finest contemporary poets have given their words for to the path and many of these have been complimented by sculptures, some of which have been created by students from Budapest School of Fine Art who come and spend their summers in Corbenic.

What you'll find along the way
The Corbenic Poetry Path winds through woodland, moor and riverbank.
It was shaped by the people who live and work here, by visiting poets and artists, and by the land itself.
Here, art and nature are part of the same conversation.

Poetry in the landscape
Words from more than twenty poets rest along the path.
They are carved into stone and wood, waiting to be found among trees, beside water, and in the open air.

Sculpture & Story
Each year new works take their place on the path, made by artists and students who spend their summers in Corbenic.
Their pieces rise quietly from the ground, shaped by the light and weather of this place.

Shaped by many hands
The path was built with help from residents, volunteers and friends of the Corbenic Community.
It carries their effort, their laughter, and their care.
How it came to be
There was no grand plan.
There was a request for more paths, and a community who value creativity.
There was a poet, and a stone-carver.
And from that simple beginning, the Corbenic Poetry Path began to take shape.
Built with help from residents, volunteers and artists, it has become a living part of Corbenic life — a place where words, art and landscape continue to grow together.
Each new season, and each new hand that works here, adds something more to the story.

Walk the path for yourself
The path is open to everyone, in every season.
There is no charge to walk it, only time to give and time to take.
It takes around an hour to complete the circular route, though many stay longer.
Please keep to the path itself and remember that Corbenic is home to many people who live and work here.
