Finding our voices
The Corbenic Poetry Group began as a small gathering on Thursday evenings, with a few residents, staff and friends sitting together to listen to poems and share thoughts about them.
Before long, the group began creating its own work. Words were spoken aloud, often improvised, then carefully transcribed by Jon Plunkett so that every voice remained exactly as it was heard.
And from there we created SHOUT, a collection of poems by the Corbenic community.
They speak of daily life, friendship, work, nature and home.
They are poems of honesty, humour and care, reflections of the people who live and create here.
SHOUT is available to buy at the Corbenic Café & Shop in Dunkeld.
Selected poems will also be displayed along the Poetry Path itself, extending the story of Corbenic into the landscape that inspired it.
